Raisin Bank seeks an experienced Team Lead for our Payment Operations team, responsible for leading a dynamic group of 5-10 specialists. This role is pivotal in driving the automation of payment processes, reducing operational costs, and seamlessly merging two distinct teams into one efficient unit. The ideal candidate will exhibit deep knowledge of compliance regulations, actively contribute to technical projects, and implement innovative payment solutions.
Your Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Development: Guide and mentor a team of 5-10, focusing on skill development, team cohesion, and high-performance standards. You will have the opportunity to expand the team with additional key hires.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive process automation and efficiencies across payment operations, significantly reducing operational costs while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Change Management: Lead the strategic integration of two teams, managing change processes to maintain team performance and morale.
  • Compliance Mastery: Ensure adherence to critical payment regulations and standards, including but not limited to SEPA, TARGET2, SWIFT, Bundesbank payment systems, and understanding of message types like MT, PACS, and CAMT.
  • Process Optimization and Technical Leadership: Leverage expertise in Broadridge and other payment systems to streamline operations and contribute to technical projects, enhancing the bank's payment capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaborative relationships, ensuring alignment with the bank's strategic goals and compliance requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Identify and implement continuous process improvements, keeping abreast of industry trends and technologies to maintain operational excellence and competitive edge.
Your Profile
  • Experience: At least 5-10 years in payment operations within a banking or financial services environment, with demonstrated leadership in managing teams and complex projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of payment processing systems (SEPA, TARGET2, SWIFT, Bundesbank), including specific platforms such as Broadridge. Familiarity with Netsuite and Mambu is a plus. Prior experience on technical and in particular payment services in an ATM context are helpful.
  • Regulatory Acumen: Deep understanding of payment-related legislation and standards, including GTVO, PSD2, and ZAG, among others, with a track record of ensuring compliance within operations.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Finance, Technology, or related fields. Additional certifications in payment operations or compliance are advantageous.
  • Language Skills: Must possess excellent command of both English and German
  • Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and change management skills, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to process improvement and innovation.
