People Operations Manager UK & Germany (f/m/d)

We are a dynamic People & Culture organization operating in a matrix structure, dedicated to fostering a collaborative work environment. As People Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting dedicated business units primarily in the UK and in Germany on all employee matters, reporting directly to an HR Business Partner (HRBP). You will collaborate with your peer People Operations Managers to enhance and optimize global People Operations processes and policies. Although you won't have formal line management responsibilities, you take on situational leadership within a collaborative leadership framework.
Your Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Serve as the direct contact for employees of our UK subsidiary in Manchester, as well as employees in Germany and in our international subsidiaries, supporting them throughout their entire employee lifecycle.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as employment contracts, parental leave requests, references and HRIS data management.
  • Manage the visa process for international employees and support their successful relocation.
  • Ensure the delivery and quality of day-to-day Global People Operations and collaborate with peer People Operations Managers, HRBPs, People Analytics & Infrastructure, Legal, Payroll and Enterprise IT.
Process Improvements & Projects 
  • Own centralization and standardization of Global People Processes
  • Spearhead the creation, review, and continuous improvement of  UK policies, processes, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence across the UK.
  • Manage and enhance the Welcome Days and onboarding process for new hires in the UK, ensuring a smooth and engaging introduction to the company culture and operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimize Global People Operations based on learnings from your business units.

Your Profile
  • Strong knowledge of UK labor law is a must. 
  • Experience in international People Operations (Germany, US, Spain, Italy) is advantageous.
  • University Degree or successfully completed apprenticeship with a focus on human resources, business administration, organizational psychology or a similar qualification.
  • Ability to facilitate, support and guide diverse stakeholders towards successful delivery. Confidence to take decisions and communicate accordingly. Previous leadership experience is advantageous. 
  • Track record of leading projects. 
  • Passion for operational HR work with a strong understanding of service orientation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English. Good German Language Skills are a plus.
  • Previous experience with Personio, Jira, Google Workspace is a plus.
