Accounts Receivables Accountant (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities
Join our global Accounting & Finance team as an Accounts Receivable Accountant. You'll report directly to the Team Lead Accounting and play a key role in collaborating with internal teams and external partners in a fast-paced, international environment. In this role, you will:
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of customer invoices, including associated accounts receivable and revenue postings.
  • Process timely and accurate billing for point-of-sale partners and handle related accounts payable and cost of sales accounting.
  • Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger balances regularly to ensure accuracy of revenue and cost data.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing and invoicing across systems and accounts.
  • Support the cash accounting team by matching incoming payments to open customer invoices.
  • Monitor overdue receivables and execute regular dunning runs to ensure timely collections.
  • Manage inquiries from customers and business partners through Jira or email, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate master data in ERP and related systems, including customer and partner records.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Controlling, Tech, and other teams on revenue-related projects and reportings.
  • Assist in statutory audits, and prepare required documentation for auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze and structure large financial data sets to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in AR processes, with a focus on automation and accuracy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for AR-related topics across teams.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
  • Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., tax clerk); additional qualification as a Certified Balance Sheet Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in an international or tech-driven environment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of German accounting standards (HGB) and IFRS 15.
  • Familiarity with German VAT law (Umsatzsteuergesetz).
  • High level of numerical accuracy, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex data sets; comfortable navigating accounting and technical systems.
  • In-depth understanding of general accounting processes and hands-on experience in AR processes, including handling large data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to liaise between Finance and Tech stakeholders effectively.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Basic project management capabilities and experience supporting process optimization.
  • Fluent in German and English.
