Data Analytics Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities
The Analytics Engineer acts as the bridge between data engineers and data analysts. It is their job to build well tested, up to date and documented datasets that the rest of the company can use to answer their own questions

  • Development and maintenance of the business data platform, aligning the DWH architecture with business requirements
  • Taking an active and entrepreneurial role regarding the data landscape and identifying improvement areas
  • Modelling of core data objects that serve as the main input for reporting and automation
  • Programmatically documenting and communicating changes and improvements to Analysts, business teams, product owners, and other stakeholders
  • Identify new data sources and coordinate their integration into the data platform. Communicating and cooperating with products owners to ensure the quality of data
  • Implement and maintain impactful automation solutions that are built on top of the business data platform
  • Championing good coding practices (SQL & dbt)
Your Profile
  • Bachelors or Masters in Economics, CS, Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a data team: DWH management, ELT/ETL-processes, data transformation, data quality monitoring
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem-solving
  • Focus on building future-proof and maintainable solutions
  • Good understanding of relational databases and data modelling (Kimball star schemas, Inmon, 3NF or Data Vault)
  • Strong SQL skills (optimising not only for analytical purposes but for efficiency and maintainability as well)
  • Good knowledge of general software engineering methodology (Git, JIRA, CI/CD, bash)
  • Ideally, considerable experience with the following technologies/scripting languages: dbt, Looker, Airflow, Snowflake, Python
